The rapid integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) into creative practice has initiated a period of transformation in how art is conceived, produced, and evaluated. This descriptive study systematically examines the current state of AI-driven artistic expression, surveying the dominant tools reshaping creative workflows, the evolving role of the human artist in augmented production environments, and the emerging legal tensions surrounding authorship. Drawing from peer-reviewed literature, legal documentation, and industry reports published between 2019 and 2026, this paper describes the contours of what may be characterized as a digital renaissance. This period is defined not by the elimination of human creativity but by its radical renegotiation. The findings describe a field marked by simultaneous opportunity and disruption, characterized by widening accessibility, contested ownership, and an incomplete but rapidly developing regulatory response.
